Care for your bags

Heirloom Threads bags are crafted from fine and/or rare fabrics specially chosen for their colour, texture, story and beauty.

All materials in our bags are sourced for their unique quality and are carefully crafted. Any incidental marks or textural variances are part of the material’s natural characteristics and/or historical patina and should not be considered as imperfections.

Treat your bags with love and care by keeping them away from direct sunlight. Due to the delicate fabrics used in our pieces, surface abrasion and colour fading may occur with everyday use, so please be gentle.

Avoid contact with water, heat, oily substances, cosmetics or solvents. To help retain the shape of the bag, stuff it with soft material such as tissue. Store each bag individually.

If you accidentally stain your bag, wipe the surface with a soft sponge dipped in mild soapy water, and leave it to dry indoors. Do not attempt to scrub the stain as this will damage the fabric or cause snags in the embroidery.
